Abricate is a startup technology company that seeks to increase consumer access to manufacturing equipment by taking advantage of unused time and space on the machines. This comes with the added benefit of reducing overhead and business development needs for fabricators. 

 

The first step in this project was to interview a variety of buyers and makers of CNC machined goods. I then fully mapped the client and job-shop touchpoints, which dictate the functional requirements of the Abricate technology. 

 

From there a "hero" feature was identified, and the user experience was prototyped in Sketch and InVision.
